A friend of mine posted some information on his blog that referenced what a horrible job he felt president bush is doing along with some polls that were taken agreeing with him. It talked about the fact that the majority of Americans feel that President Bush should be impeached if he did indeed mislead america about going to war.
Here’s my response:
I wonder what those who were polled would say if their friends, children or families were murdered by terrorists who were harbored in Iraq.
I wonder what those who were polled would say if they were born in Iraq and weren’t the spoiled american brats that they are. What would they say if they had to survive not knowing if the Iraqi government was going to come and cut the heads off of their children why they watched in their own homes before heading to the gas chamber.
We complain about how we have to pay taxes and yet we live in the most free society in the world. When have any of us ever truly feared for our lives because of our government?
I am proud to be a part of a country who isn’t afraid to use it’s resouces to save the lives of
men, women and children in other parts of the world who have to live with torture.
My best friend volunteered a second time in Iraq (in Falusa) (SP?). He was there when people ran to him crying thanking him for saving their lives because they watched people that they knew strung up in the streets with chains and shot in the heads by Sadam’s military.
Most of the same people who talk about this rediculous impeachment were 100% for going to war when they had THE SAME INFORMATION that President Bush did. So what if the intelligence was wrong. We have saved peoples lives by being there. Why is it only a good decision if your life is saved?
There are terrorists that are now in captivity who could have rolled up beside you in a van last week just before their vehicle exploded and killed you and your family or friends who were in the car with you. But we don’t see what’s prevented… we only see what happens. I can’t even imagine the things that we have been protected from because of President Bush. What would those polled say about our president if they found out that their parents or childrens lives were saved because of the decisions that he has made.
It’s so easy to critisise the actions of someone and yet no one thinks about what it’s like to be on the other side. People are so selfish today it’s unbelivable. It’s alway about us and never about others. That’s pathetic.
How would those polled feel different if they were born in a country where they were in constant fear of their lives from terrorism? What if they were one of the 1.08 billion people who starve every day? i bet those people would love to live here.
They’d love our country and the leadership of it then.
Those who don’t like it here in the US have every ability to go live in Africa or Kenya or Haiti or anywhere else in the world. Why don’t they? I mean it’s so freaking horrible here, right? It’s so bad that all we do is complain about everything. So go to one of those countries and live.
Get off my soil. I’m proud of everything our country’s leadership stands for.
I am by no means writing this out of arrogance… it’s out of pure frustration. There have been many things in the past few days that I wanted to post just to let off some steam. Unfortunately, I have been completely unable to post certain things because of the fact that I meet people every day who "google" my name and then read this blog.
As an example, whenever Web Xtreme applies for financing the loan officer will sometimes google my name as well as Steve and Rory’s and naturaly, when they see this blog they take a look. No big deal, right? Actually it is. Depending on what is written here it could affect a decision.
Then, there’s clients. I have spoken with people from time to time who google the company and find my name. If I write frustrations about clients here, one of them may read it.
Most of my day consists of dealing with clients, vendors, and employees… so… well.. you get the point. Just feeling frustrated about that. I wonder how Alan Greenspan feels, considering everything that he says can affect the worlds economy instantly.
In doing some research online today about blogging for corporate PR purposes, I shockingly came to the realization that the animal Napoleon refers to in the movie Napoleon Dynamite as a "Liger"… actually exhists. As it turns out, there are some odd people in different parts of the world who breed male lions with female tigers to create "ligers" (See the definition below).
The liger is a cross (a hybrid) between a male lion and a female tiger. It is therefore a member of genus Panthera. It looks like a giant lion with diffused stripes. Like tigers (and unlike lions), ligers like swimming.
So, you’re probably as shocked as I am. Well… you’re probably not because you probably don’t care. However, I still was astounded and in need of further proof once I came accross this fact. So I found an actual photograph of a real liger.
This photograph is of a liger by the name of "Hobbs" who lives at Sierra Safari Zoo in Nevada. However, if you want to actually see a loger in person, you can go to South Carolina to Barefoot Landing.
Even more odd is the fact that there are also "Tigons". These are born from male Tigers and female Lions.
We live in a bizarre world.
