As a sports fan you have to fall in love with players and then no longer support their cause as they get swallowed up by free agency or traded to another team. Gary Sheffield was traded from the New York Yankees today to the Detroit Tigers. I wish you luck, Gary and I’ll miss your crazy bat.

Sheffield signed on with the Yankees in 2003 and had a few stellar seasons.  Last season he broke his wrist by colliding with another player.  He was then out for a large period of time and came back at the tail end.
