This evening I received disturbing news that I may have S.E.R.T. (Selective Email Response Time) from my business partner, Rory.
The email read as follows:
It appears that you have S.E.R.T.
To correct this common problem please respond to emails in the order they were received in a timely manner and try to avoid skipping to a preferred email position due to your being uncomfortable in responding to a particular email due to lack of knowledge or not knowing if it may become confrontational. We at the Email Response Team hopes that this has been helpful in curing your apparent S.E.R.T. problem.
Have a wonderful day.

I couldn’t stop laughing. Rory - thanks for the diagnosis. I am no longer in denial and am well on my way to recovery.

OK.. so it didn’t snow a lot. But that’s ok… Emily and Haley couldn’t wait to get the boys outside. They didn’t stay outside long, though… too cold!

Matt Self, our sales manager at work, and his wife Lisa invited us to attend their daughters dedication today at their church. We had a wonderful time at the service as well as the lunch afterward. You can see all of the pictures in the photo album.
I am so far behind! Steph, Ryan, Jodi and I went to Star Glazers a few weeks ago on a date night. It was a lot of fun. I attempted to make a “Remarkable” mug, but it turned out completely “UnRemarkable”. I highly recommend going to Star Glazers. It’s bring your own food an beverage… wine is allowed. They even have wine glasses if you need them.
Here we are doing our pottery.
Here are the ladies who were “on duty”.
Rory, Steve and I went down to North Wildwood to take care of some things with a condo the other day. You can find out more about the condo here.
I took my first panaramic picture while we were there. It didn’t turn out incredible, but it’s my first, so I’ll share… Click here if you would like to see it. Keep in mind that it’s a pretty big file and you’ll have to scroll across to see the whole thing. If you can see the whole thing on your screen, click it again and it will zoom to full size.
I got some other pictures as well…
Rory and I thought that maybe we could roast some marshmallows on the gas stove. Steve came out a moment later and told us it would cost too much to do that. 8 )

I don’t think that I have been on the beach more than 2-3 times as an adult… Rory gave me some tips.

Here’s the view from the condo

Hello!!! I spent this evening getting the pictures edited from Web Xtreme’s 2006 Christmas Party. I thought it was about time since it’s… oh… a month later. We had a lot of fun at Media Heights Golf Club. Mixed Impression’s DJs and Entertainment was there. Our DJ is a personal friend of Rory, Steve and me - and he was great!
You can take a look at some of the pictures here.
Also, if you haven’t… make sure you see the pictures in the photo album.

So much has happened since the last time I had an opportunity to write. There’s a new project launch happening right now at work, so time to update has been scarce. I have decided that I will be updating with smaller posts more regularly to get you caught up on everything. So, in the upcoming days you will see posts on…
- The Web Xtreme Christmas Party that we had at Media Heights Country Club.
- All of the crazy family christmas stuff we did this year.
- The Christmas Church Drama that Emily and Haley were in.
- Pictures from our New Years Celebration
I may just put all of those into one big “Holiday’s with the Conklin’s - 2006″ slide show. Anyway, here’s a couple of pics that I threw together quick.

Emily, Haley and their cousin Alayna just being themselves.

Emily tried to open some “spray soap” that we got the boys and she sprayed herself!

Christmas 2006 will always be known as “The Year of Elmo”
