Ya know… I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how quickly GetMyHomesValue.com has grown. I remember how excited we were when GetMyHomesValue.com was mentioned in Business Week. We had so much traffic it shut us down.
Well, now we are officially in The Inc 500. The announcement will be made on August 20, 2008 and we have no idea which “slot” we’re going to be in… but we know that we’re there.
We’ll actually be heading to Washington DC for the Event as well. I will be updating when the announcement is made and don’t forget to pick up the September Issue of Inc when it comes out.
Here come the telemarketers!

OK… so here’s the deal. I am going to continue to update things here. However, all of my posts that include photography that I have shot will be appearing on ConklinImages.com. To make things easy for you, whenever an updated post is on ConklinImages.com, it will appear to the right under “The Latest Photos”.
I am hoping to get a bit more serious about my photography hobby. It’s a great stress reliever for me. For more details on that, stay tuned to ConklinImages.com.

Hello!!! I spent this evening getting the pictures edited from Web Xtreme’s 2006 Christmas Party. I thought it was about time since it’s… oh… a month later. We had a lot of fun at Media Heights Golf Club. Mixed Impression’s DJs and Entertainment was there. Our DJ is a personal friend of Rory, Steve and me - and he was great!
You can take a look at some of the pictures here.
Also, if you haven’t… make sure you see the pictures in the photo album.

Rory Steve and I have been asked on numerous occasions for public relations pictures for magazines, newspapers, etc. We finally have them! You can click the picture below or click here to see the album… Once again thanks Joel and Rita Wiebner for taking the pictures!
In taking a look at Wiebner’s blog yesterday I learned that a guy I went to school with found out in July that he had cancer. With that news, he decided to start a t-shirt business called Endure. The shirts are all themed around enduring things in life and you can check them out here. When I read his story it almost made me laugh out loud (in joy)! I see people every day when they face adversity in their lives burry their head in the sand. It is so refreshing to learn that drive, motivation and dedication to life have not been flushed down the toilet by society.
Chad, your story is one that is both remarkable and exciting! I will order a shirt soon.
Please take a moment to read Chad’s story in the Lancaster Paper here.

Rory, Steve and I took our annual trip to Borgata Monday and Tuesday to create our business plan for the upcoming year. We had a lot of fun and got a lot done. There are some great things planned for next year! I have put some pictures in the photo album of our trip… check them out here!

This picture is of Steve doing his Kung Foo in the morning while he was brushing his teeth.

Brian has completed a video on GetMyHomesValue.com’s Veri-Lead service. I have a staring role (ha ha). This was Brian’s first attempt at shooting and editing a corporate video. Great Job Brian!
Last month a few members of our GetMyHomesValue.com team took a day out of the office and donated our time to Habitat for Humanity. Our producer "extraordinaire" Brian Shoff put together a video of the day. Here it is!

Wiebner Photography came out to our offices yesterday and hung out with us for a bit. They are an incredible husband and wife team. We’ll have a lot more pics soon, but here’s a preview of some of the stuff we did.

We have a dry cleaning company that, for the most part, manages my expectations well. The clothes are delivered on time, they’re always clean, and the creases are always in the right place. They have created systems to ensure that their product is consistent.
I as a customer have become a little more inconsistent with my regular needs for their services - and apparently the systems that they have in place don’t work well when inconsistencies take place.
I had an opportunity to talk to my driver a few weeks ago and during our quick conversation I learned that he always stops by on Monday morning and again later in the day to check our front porch for his "present". So I no longer make sure that the clothes are on the porch Sunday evening… I simply place them there Monday morning knowing that if he already came through he’ll be back to check again.
Well, it’s now Wednesday morning and as you can see in the photo, my clothes are now sitting out in the rain. Lots of rain. Is it a big deal? I guess not. Can you dry clean wet clothes? I guess I’ll find out. Do red clothes bleed onto white garments? I guess they may.
