I am excited to be helping Emily and Haley with their science fair projects. Emily is comparing organic cleaners with ones that have chemicals. Haley is doing a computer science project to find out which search engine (Yahoo, Google, MSN or Ask) will find a new web page that she made the fastest.
You can check out Haley’s Science Fair Project by clicking here. While you’re there, leave a comment for her and I’m sure it will put a smile on her face.

Back almost a month ago our friends Matt and Heather Haines brought their new little guy, Evan, over to the house and I got to snap some pics while they were there. Here are a few of them…

I have a goal to read two books a month in 2006. It’s something that I’ve never had the time to do… but now with the amazing technology of the Treo and downloadable audio books from audible.com… I do.
The book I’ve now started is eboys. I think I’m going to love it, but am a bit disapointed with the language. There are times when necessary not necesary to curse… and Randall Stross doesn’t hold back… at all. Other than that, though.. the book is filled with stories of unlikely success. The kind that goes against the statistics. I’m in to that.
I realized today that Books are wonderful. The only problem is that they end. Sitcoms are great because they continue for a long time. Well, except the ones that I fall in love with. Books can’t be cancelled… it seems that no matter what you’re looking to read, it’s around somewhere on Amazon.com.
I’m rambling. Probably because I’m exauhsted. So anyway, I’ll let you know how eboys goes. It’ll be book number three for 2006.
Oh! I forgot… the whole reason I wanted to write this post was to recommend the book Total Money Makeover, by Dave Ramsey. It offers a great way to generate wealth and payoff debt. Dave is a multi-millionaire who made millions, went bankrupt, and made millions again. It’s a neat story. He actually shares some of the concepts that were in Millionaire Next Door, but without the "you can’t ever spend any money on anything cool… ever… that’s right… EVER" attitude. I’m not a fan of Millionaire Next Door… as I stated in an earlier post.

In doing some research online today about blogging for corporate PR purposes, I shockingly came to the realization that the animal Napoleon refers to in the movie Napoleon Dynamite as a "Liger"… actually exhists. As it turns out, there are some odd people in different parts of the world who breed male lions with female tigers to create "ligers" (See the definition below).
The liger is a cross (a hybrid) between a male lion and a female tiger. It is therefore a member of genus Panthera. It looks like a giant lion with diffused stripes. Like tigers (and unlike lions), ligers like swimming.
So, you’re probably as shocked as I am. Well… you’re probably not because you probably don’t care. However, I still was astounded and in need of further proof once I came accross this fact. So I found an actual photograph of a real liger.
This photograph is of a liger by the name of "Hobbs" who lives at Sierra Safari Zoo in Nevada. However, if you want to actually see a loger in person, you can go to South Carolina to Barefoot Landing.
Even more odd is the fact that there are also "Tigons". These are born from male Tigers and female Lions.
We live in a bizarre world.
